Bolu Essien is a Nigerian actress, writer, producer and director best known for creating and starring in the Netflix workplace dramedy Becoming Abi. She also writes and produces film and TV projects, and has appeared in earlier works like Dying with the King (2010), Broken Bridges (2012) and the short films Locked and Things That Broke Us.
