Okey Bakassi, born Okechukwu Anthony Onyegbule on October 23, 1969, in Imo State, Nigeria, is a renowned stand-up comedian and actor. He began his entertainment journey during his university days at Rivers State University, where he studied Agricultural Engineering. His passion for performance led him to join the Theatre Colleagues, participating in stage plays and comedy sketches. Bakassi gained prominence through his performances on "A Night of a Thousand Laughs" and has since starred in several Nollywood films. In 2014, he won the Best Actor in a Leading Role (Igbo) at the Best of Nollywood Awards for his role in "Onye Ozi.
