Nkem Nwabuoku Owoh, born on February 7, 1955, in Amagu Village, Udi Town, Enugu State, Nigeria, is a renowned Nigerian actor, comedian, and singer. He is best known for his comedic roles in Nollywood films, particularly his portrayal of Osuofia in the movie Osuofia in London (2003), which brought him international acclaim. Owoh pursued his education in Engineering at the Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta. During his university years, he began acting in various television and film productions, which marked the beginning of his career in the entertainment industry. In 2008, he won the Africa Movie Academy Award for "Best Actor in a Leading Role" for his performance in the film Stronger Than Pain. Beyond acting, Owoh is also known for his musical endeavors, notably the song "I Go Chop Your Dollar," which satirically addresses the issue of internet fraud. Owoh is married to Ngozi Nkem Owoh, and they have two daughters. He remains an influential figure in Nollywood, celebrated for his versatility and contributions to the Nigerian film industry.
