Razaaq Adoti was born on 27 June 1973 in Forest Gate, London. Of Nigerian descent, he discovered acting early and joined stage productions in his teens. He trained formally at the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama, earning his degree in acting. His screen debut came in 1991 with a guest role in Press Gang. Over the years he shifted between theatre, television, and film, building a varied career. He gained international recognition with his roles in Amistad (1997), Black Hawk Down (2001), Resident Evil: Apocalypse (2004), and Doom (2005). He has played both lead and supporting characters, including antagonists, showing range and versatility. Later, he began to work behind the scenes as a producer and screenwriter, developing projects bridging the UK and Nigeria. His company aims to tell stories that resonate across cultures. Adoti continues to act in film and television, and also writes and produces, bringing both creative vision and lived experience to his work.
