Adanne

The story

Adanne sacrifices everything—her education, dignity, and safety to give her younger sister, Ijeoma, a chance at a better life. When Ijeoma graduates and disappears into a new world, Adanne is left behind, trapped in the harsh underbelly of Lagos, surviving through striptease and prostitution. Just as Adanne finds a fragile sense of hope in a relationship with Folarin, a wealthy but troubled man, her past crashes into her present when Ijeoma resurfaces and uncovers the truth. What follows is a painful confrontation between two sisters divided by sacrifice, betrayal, and ambition, forcing them to face the cost of their choices and decide whether redemption lies in forgiveness or in walking away forever.
