Between Sisters

The story

Boma and Doubara are two sisters living in Lagos, bound by their shared faith but divided by their different ways of handling life’s disappointments. Boma wants to 'japa' at any cost, her identity tied to an elusive visa that remains out of reach despite her fervent prayers. Doubara quietly navigates a string of heartbreaks and the social pressure of watching her peers build their own families. When a brutal breakup and a third visa rejection push them to a breaking point, the sisters are forced to confront the resentment simmering beneath their morning prayers. As they struggle with the silence of God and the loud frustrations of their reality, they must decide if their bond and faith are strong enough to survive the wait for a change that may never come.
