Lees Waxul

Plot

A compelling Senegalese drama set in a village where bread is a scarce luxury. The story follows Ousseynou, a former fisherman who supports his family by selling stale bread ("fagadaga"). His fragile stability is shattered when his sister-in-law opens a traditional bakery nearby. Her success is perceived as a personal affront, creating a palpable, unspoken tension ("Lees Waxul") that threatens not only his business but his authority as the family patriarch.
