Tackles a real subject with nuance. The film doesn't preach, it shows. Strong performances and the story has weight. Some pacing issues in the middle but it commits to what it's trying to say.
The story
In the ancient city of Kano, a gifted almajiri defies poverty and dogma in pursuit of education, risking everything to become a tech engineer. Raised on scripture and survival, Rabiu's extraordinary mind cannot stay hidden. When a teacher sees his genius and fights for his future, he must choose between the only world he knows and the one he was born to build.
