A Mile From Home tells the gripping story of Jude, a young student who has been away from home for five years. His journey began with a simple act of revenge—a desperate attempt to reclaim the precious watch his father gifted him on his eighteenth birthday, stolen by a ruthless gangster named Stone. But that single act pulled him into a world he never imagined, a life from which there is no return. In his pursuit of vengeance, Jude becomes entangled with a dangerous gang led by Suku, a feared and powerful crime boss. Impressed by Jude’s loyalty and fearlessness, Suku elevates him to his right-hand man. With that position comes power, respect, and the weight of knowing he can never go back to his old life. Under Suku’s influence, Jude—now known as Lala—fully embraces the gang’s violent ways. Despite his hardened exterior, Jude finds himself falling for Ivie, Suku’s girlfriend. Their forbidden love is a dangerous secret, one that could cost them both their lives. But for Jude, loving Ivie is worth the risk—even if it means facing Suku’s wrath. Meanwhile, Don Kolo, a notorious drug dealer recently deported from South Africa, is desperate to reclaim his empire. Broke and out of options, he needs a fresh supply of drugs to rebuild his operation. When he learns that Suku and his gang have just secured a massive shipment from their powerful contact, Chief Lukas, Don Kolo sets his sights on taking it—by any means necessary. With betrayal, love, and power struggles at play, Jude finds himself at a crossroads. In a world where loyalty is tested and survival is never guaranteed, how far will he go to protect the ones he loves—and will he ever find his way back home?
