Farouk Olanrewaju Abisoye is a Nigerian filmmaker, actor, scriptwriter, and musician known for his creative storytelling and passion for cultural narratives. Born on May 13, 1984, in Ilesha, Osun State, he hails from Ede and began his early education in Lagos. Farouk made his directorial debut with the 2024 epic drama Ogbedun, a film that explores royal power struggles in a traditional Yoruba kingdom. As a member of TAMPAN, he is committed to preserving and promoting indigenous stories through film. His work has been praised for its strong casting and compelling plot, though some critics noted a desire for more Yoruba language use to reflect the cultural setting.
