Juliet Yaa Asantewa Asante is a Ghanaian filmmaker, actress, producer, and philanthropist. She founded Eagle Productions in 1999 and the Black Star International Film Festival in 2015. Her 2015 film Silver Rain received multiple nominations at the Africa Magic Viewers' Choice Awards. Asante holds master's degrees in Public Administration and Public Policy from Harvard Kennedy School and bachelor's degrees from the University of Cape Coast and the National Film and Television Institute. She served as CEO of Ghana's National Film Authority and founded initiatives like Save Our Women International and Mobile Flicks. Asante is recognized for her contributions to African cinema and women's empowerment.
