Abina Ayivor, also known as Abena Ayivor, is a versatile actor, screenwriter, and voiceover artist based in South Africa, with over two decades of experience in the entertainment industry. Born in Kitwe, Zambia, on February 25, 1975, she made her acting debut in 1993 on the series Generations, where she was best known for her role as Lerato from 1999 to 2003. Ayivor has worked extensively in both local and international film and television. Her career highlights include playing President Bibi Mundanzi in the BBC/Netflix series Black Earth Rising and serving as head writer for the MTV youth series Shuga Down South. She has also contributed as a scriptwriter to Diamond City, Castle & Castle, and Die Testament. Her film credits include Machine Gun Preacher, The Dinosaur Project, A United Kingdom, and The Good Lie. Ayivor is recognized for her talent in adapting to various roles and for her contributions behind the scenes in script development.
