Adetokunbo Shittu is a Nigerian filmmaker, director, writer, and producer with a passion for storytelling rooted in African traditions. He earned his degree in Dramatic Arts from Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, and began his directing career over a decade ago. His notable works include Ajantanla, produced for Nigeria’s Centenary Celebration in 2010, and Towo Omo, created for Lagos@50 celebrations. Shittu's recent project, Atunwa, is a modern drama inspired by the mythical Eleko Idere, exploring themes of reincarnation and interconnectedness. In addition to his film and theatre work, Shittu is a published author and scriptwriter. He has contributed to productions such as The Varsity, a teen pop campus soap opera, and authored The Cleansing, a traditional Yoruba comedy in English. His creative journey reflects a deep commitment to preserving and sharing African narratives through various mediums.
