Adomaa (full name Joy Onyinyechukwu Adomaa Serwaa Adjeman) is a Ghanaian-Nigerian singer, actress, and model from Accra. Raised in a musical family, her sound blends jazz, soul, highlife, and afrobeats into a style she calls “Afro-jazz.” She won the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards Unsung Artiste category in 2016. In 2022, she released her Becoming Adomaa EP, a deeply personal project reflecting her mental-health journey and artistic growth. Despite battling depression early in her career, Adomaa has become a voice for healing and authenticity in Ghana’s alternative music scene.
