Afeez Olayiwola Abiodun, widely recognized by his moniker Afeez Owo, is a prolific Nigerian actor and filmmaker from the Iseyin region of Oyo State. He discovered his passion for storytelling in primary school, where he wrote his first drama titled Kokoro Aiye. He moved to Lagos in the mid-1980s to pursue acting professionally, initially collaborating with Rasaq Olayiwola (Ojo Pagogo). Known for his versatility, Afeez transitioned into film production in 2000 with his debut movie, Majen Sinwon Waiye. His meticulous approach to directing and his ability to interpret complex scripts earned him the title "Seriki Awon Olopolo" (Sheikh of Intelligence) among his peers. He is famously married to fellow Nollywood star Mide Martins, the daughter of the late veteran actress Funmi Martins, and together they have become a staple power couple in the Yoruba movie industry.
