Aishat Abiri is a Nigerian filmmaker, screenwriter, producer, and multidisciplinary creative whose work spans film, television, radio, and social-impact media. With an MFA in Filmmaking (Intercultural Communication) from the Maryland Institute College of Art and a Doctor of Optometry degree from the University of Benin, Abiri brings a unique blend of scientific rigor and artistic sensibility to her storytelling. Her directorial debut, the award-winning short “Does God Love Women?”, premiered at the 2022 Toronto International Nollywood Film Festival and garnered nominations in Best Short Film and Best Short Drama (African).
