Grace-Charis Bassey, formerly known as Belinda Effah, is a Nigerian actress and presenter born on December 14, 1989, in Cross River State, Nigeria. She studied Genetics and Bio-Technology at the University of Calabar. Her acting career began in 2005 with the TV series Shallow Waters, and she gained prominence through roles in Tales of Eve, Kokomma, and The Banker. In 2013, she won the Most Promising Actress award at the 9th Africa Movie Academy Awards for her role in Kokomma. In 2021, she changed her name to Grace-Charis Bassey following a personal spiritual experience.
