Biography
Nicholas Tetteh Nartey, professionally known as Big Ghun (pronounced “Big Goon”), is a Ghanaian film director, producer, musician, and entrepreneur. Born on October 26, 1993, in Koforidua, Eastern Region, Ghana, he is the CEO of PB Studios Africa and PressureBois Inc. Big Ghun holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Film Directing from the National Film and Television Institute (NAFTI) and a diploma in TV and film production from Pan-Atlantic University. Big Ghun officially entered the Ghanaian film industry in December 2019 with the premiere of the television show LivingFields Agri Challenge at Silverbird Cinemas in Accra. In 2020, he directed his debut short film, Koro (One), a psychological thriller about a couple haunted by their past on their wedding night. The film won Best Short Thriller at the Robinson Film Awards International Film Festival and was acquired by ShowMax. It also received a nomination for Best Short Film at the 2022 Africa Magic Viewers' Choice Awards (AMVCA).
