Biography
Blessing Effiom Egbe is a Nigerian filmmaker, writer, producer, director, and former model who has made a strong mark in Nollywood. She studied Theatre Arts at the University of Calabar and later trained in screenwriting in Cape Town, South Africa. Before moving into film, she built a successful career as a model, winning several top competitions including ECOWAS Top Model. Her passion for storytelling led her into filmmaking where she quickly became known for bold, relatable stories. She wrote, produced, and directed acclaimed works such as Lekki Wives, Two Brides and a Baby, This Thing Called Marriage, The Ten Virgins, and The Women, a 2017 drama that explored friendship, secrets, and betrayal. Through her company, BConcept Network Productions, she has created over 300 television episodes and numerous films that continue to reach wide audiences. Beyond her creative work, she has also played a role in industry leadership, serving as treasurer of the Association of Movie Producers. As a wife and mother of three, she balances family with her mission to tell authentic African stories and push Nollywood forward.
