Caleb Okereke is an acclaimed Nigerian journalist, filmmaker, and researcher dedicated to reshaping African narratives. He is the Co-founder and Executive Editor of Minority Africa, a digital publication supported by the Google News Initiative that focuses on underreported stories of minority groups across the continent. With a career spanning over a decade, Caleb has reported from across Africa for prestigious global outlets, including the BBC, CNN, Al Jazeera, The Guardian, and VICE News. A former correspondent for Heidi.news and contributing editor at New African Magazine, Caleb is currently a PhD student and Doctoral Fellow at Northeastern University, where his research explores the intersections of race, AI, and digital media infrastructures. He holds a Master’s in Communication from the University of Utah, where he received the Joanna Ploeger Memorial Essay Award.
