Christian Mänz is a British visual effects artist and supervisor with a career spanning more than two decades in film and visual effects. He’s best known for his work on major studio productions as a VFX supervisor and creative director at Framestore, one of Europe’s leading visual effects studios. Mänz was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Visual Effects for Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 1 (2010) and has received multiple BAFTA nominations for films including several entries in the Fantastic Beasts series. He has supervised visual effects on titles such as Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, The Crimes of Grindelwald and The Secrets of Dumbledore, and most recently the live‑action How to Train Your Dragon (2025), drawing on his experience crafting creature work and immersive worlds. Mänz began his career at Framestore in 1997 and has built a reputation for blending creative vision with technical excellence in large‑scale effects work.
