Biography
Da’anong Gyang is a Nigerian cinematographer whose work reflects a steady rise shaped by curiosity, persistence, and hands-on learning. Originally trained in TV journalism, his path shifted during a formative internship on a film set, where he worked as a camera assistant under producer Dimbo Adia. That experience sparked a deeper interest in visual storytelling and set him on a new course. Over time, Gyang built his craft across film and television, working on projects like Sons of the Caliphate, 4th Republic, and the long-running series Halita. He later gained wider recognition for his cinematography on Finding Nina, earning a Best Cinematography nomination at the Africa Magic Viewers' Choice Awards. His recent work includes Thicker than Water and Onobiren: A Woman’s Story, further establishing him as one of Nollywood’s emerging visual storytellers.
