Biography

Daniela Melchior is a Portuguese actress who has rapidly transitioned from domestic telenovelas to becoming a major player in Hollywood blockbusters. Beginning her career in Portuguese television productions like Ouro Verde and A Herdeira, she achieved global fame with her breakout performance as Ratcatcher 2 (Cleo Cazo) in James Gunn's The Suicide Squad (2021), where she was widely considered the emotional heart of the film. In 2025 and 2026, Melchior solidified her reputation as a go-to star for high-octane action and comedy. She stars in the highly anticipated creature-feature reboot "Anaconda" (2025), playing Ana Almeida alongside Jack Black and Paul Rudd in a meta-comedy take on the 1997 cult classic. She also leads the cast of the thriller "American Sweatshop" (2025), a gritty drama examining the toll of content moderation.
