Biography

Darron Meyer is a seasoned performer with a strong background in physical performance and screenwriting. Born in Johannesburg as the son of a show jumper, he initially aspired to be a writer, influenced by the works of Tolkien and C.S. Lewis. This dual interest led him to both act in and write for the screen, with screenwriting credits including the 2009 film Tornado and the Kalahari Horse Whisperer and 2019's Bhai's Cafe. In the mid-2020s, Meyer’s screen presence has expanded into significant supporting roles in North American and international co-productions. His background in weapons training, hand-to-hand combat, and stunts has made him a versatile asset for action-heavy roles. As of early 2026, he is gaining particular recognition for his involvement in the high-profile "Andy Muschietti-produced" horror-comedy They Will Kill You.
