Biography

David “Gee” Ahanmisi is a Nigerian filmmaker, director, writer, and TV/film producer dedicated to telling authentic African stories. After earning a psychology degree from Ambrose Alli University (Ekpoma) and then a second degree in Creative Arts from the University of Lagos, he began his career as a screenwriter in 2011 with Awakening (2013), which earned nominations at the AMAA and AMVCA He has since directed a diverse slate of projects—including Ajoche, Unbroken, Riona, Warriors in Heels, Deceptive Measures (a Bollywood collaboration), Long Sleeves (short), and The Other One (2023) Also active on Instagram as @the_director_gee, he continues to build his career as a multi-talented storyteller
