Biography
Dumie Manyathela is a Zimbabwean filmmaker, cinematographer, and actor known for his dynamic storytelling and commitment to African narratives. He gained recognition for his role in Veza: The Unfolding (2021) and as a key cast member in The Signal (2022), Zimbabwe's first Ndebele-language sci-fi short film. Manyathela also served as the cinematographer for the drama series Soulmate (2022), which aired on ZTN Prime. His work has earned him nominations at prestigious events like the Africa Magic Viewers' Choice Awards and the National Arts Merit Awards. Beyond filmmaking, he is a passionate storyteller who believes in the spiritual essence of art.
