Edward Kagutuzi is a British-born Ugandan actor and director renowned for his dynamic presence in film and entertainment. He gained significant recognition for his lead role as Tijan in the 2011 film "The Mirror Boy," where he starred alongside Genevieve Nnaji and Osita Iheme. This performance earned him the Best Young/Promising Actor award at the 2011 African Movie Academy Awards. Beyond acting, Kagutuzi has expanded his creative repertoire to include directing, writing, and producing. He is the founder of Baby Plantain Productions, a company dedicated to bringing African narratives to a global audience. His recent projects include roles in "Cherry" (2021) and "Case Closed" (2023), demonstrating his versatility and commitment to storytelling.
