Emmanuel Castis

Biography

Emmanuel Castis is a multi-talented South African performer of Greek descent who has achieved success in television, film, theatre, and music. A graduate of Wits University with a degree in Dramatic Arts, he became a household name in 1999 with his breakout role as Steve Stethakis in the popular daily drama Isidingo. He is a versatile entertainer who won the fourth season of Strictly Come Dancing South Africa in 2008 and released a debut album, South of Nowhere. His stage work includes a critically acclaimed turn as Nick Massi in the international touring production of the Broadway hit Jersey Boys. In recent years, Castis has built a strong international resume with roles in global series like Black Sails and Cinemax's Warrior. In 2025, he returned to local screens in a major way as Babi Barlos in the Netflix crime drama Bad Influencer.
