Fati Mohammed is a veteran Nigerian actress who reigned as the "Queen of Kannywood" during the early 2000s. Born in Yola, Adamawa State, she is of Fulani descent but built her career in Kano. She shot to superstardom with her role in the historic film Sangaya (2000), starring opposite Ali Nuhu. The film was a massive commercial success and established the classic "love story" template for the industry. Fati was celebrated for her natural beauty, modesty, and screen presence.
