Biography
Freddie O. Anyaegbunam Jr. is an award-winning British-Nigerian screenwriter and development producer. His feature film debut, The Weekend, premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival in 2024. He also wrote The Encounter and contributed to The Nancy Isime Show (Season 2), Love Lockdown, and Man in the Mirror. Freddie served as a script consultant on Shaping Us, which premiered at the Pan-African Film Festival in 2024. Before his screenwriting career, he worked as an analyst and strategic communications consultant for international NGOs and counter-extremism programs, served as a reservist in the British Army, and was a journalist in southern Africa and Latin America. Freddie holds degrees in Conflict Studies, Law, and Politics & History, and is currently on a writing sabbatical from his Social Anthropology studies at the University of Cambridge.
