Ibinabo Fiberesima was born to a Nigerian father and an Irish mother and raised in Nigeria. She started her career as a model and beauty queen, winning titles such as Miss Wonderland (1990) and placing as runner-up in major pageants like Miss Nigeria in 1991. She transitioned into film acting with her debut in the movie Most Wanted in 1998. Over the years, she has become a prominent figure in Nollywood, both in front of and behind the camera, and served as the National President of the Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN). Her work spans modeling, acting, directing, event management and philanthropy, notably via her scholarship scheme and advocacy efforts through pageants such as Miss Earth Nigeria.
