Biography
Uncle Sam, as he is fondly called, is a Nigerian movie director, producer, and certified screenwriter whose work reflects his values of integrity, reliability, and accountability. Known for his humility and simplicity, he has built a remarkable career in film, television, media, and public service. His filmography includes LAMI—winner of Best Movie of the Year at the Inside Nollywood International Film Festival—TURNS, THUS, and ACQUIESCENCE. He also created and directed notable TV series such as Meadows (26 episodes), The Settler (15 episodes), US (11 episodes), and My Sisters and I (10 episodes), alongside several award-winning short films. His creativity spans music videos, stage plays, live events, and documentaries. Sam has been recognized with the Outstanding West African Movie Producer Award (2024) and as an ICON of Societal Development. A distinguished media practitioner, he is active across journalism, broadcasting, publishing, advertising, and podcasting. He has also served in government as Senior Special Assistant on Media and Publicity. Beyond film and media, Sam is founder of Fedmas Group, publisher of Gistafri and Naija Fact Finders. He is happily married with children.
