Sunday Okon, a struggling musician, abandons his family in a last-ditch effort to achieve stardom. Twenty years later, after countless failures, he finds himself a penniless debtor with a short fuse and a habit of lashing out. While dodging creditors one day, Sunday stumbles upon a news story featuring a young woman with his last name who has just won a national talent show. Curiosity piqued, he calls into the show and discovers that the rising star is his youngest child and only daughter. Desperate to escape his destitute life, Sunday decides to reenter his daughter’s world.
