Biography

Johannes Oliver Hamm is a German actor and voice artist born around 1973/74 in Heidelberg. He trained in acting at the Hochschule für Schauspielkunst Ernst Busch in Berlin and later honed his craft with further workshops in New York. Hamm works in film, television and theatre, often in French and German productions where his bilingual skills make him a strong fit for a range of roles. On screen he’s appeared in films and series spanning drama, war and adventure, including international cinema work. He’s also a seasoned voice actor, best known in animation and video game circles as the German voice of the iconic villain Dr. Eggman in the Sonic the Hedgehog franchise, including multiple games and the animated Sonic Boom series. Fluent in German, French and several other languages, Hamm brings versatility to his performances. He lives in Paris and continues to take roles that bridge European and international screen work.
