Biography
Jon Day is a British writer, critic, and academic born in 1984. He studied English at St John’s College, Oxford, and now teaches English Literature at King’s College London. His essays and reviews have appeared in publications such as the London Review of Books, the New York Review of Books, n+1, the Times Literary Supplement, and The Guardian. He is a regular book critic for the Financial Times and The Telegraph, and writes about art for Apollo magazine. Day's first book, Cyclogeography (2015), is a philosophical memoir about his time as a London bicycle courier. His second book, Homing (2019), explores themes of home and pigeon racing. He served as a judge for the 2016 Man Booker Prize and the 2019 Wellcome Book Prize.
