Lance Gewer is an award-winning South African cinematographer with a career spanning over three decades in film and television. He is best known for his work on the Oscar-winning film Tsotsi (2005), which brought him international recognition and helped elevate South African cinema on the global stage. Over the years, he has worked on a wide range of feature films, series, and documentaries including Beat the Drum, Spud, Otelo Burning, Master Harold… and the Boys, and Mandela’s Gun. His cinematography is recognized for its strong visual storytelling and ability to adapt to both gritty realism and polished commercial styles. Gewer has collaborated with prominent directors across Africa and internationally, contributing to projects that have screened at major film festivals and earned multiple awards. Sihle reluctantly decides to chauffeur his DJ friends (Links and Neo) around Johannesburg for their gigs, the main gig; an audition to be DJ residents at Jo'burg's biggest club. The night turns upside down when Links' girlfriend calls for help after being caught in a situation involving the lifeless body of Patrick in her friend's apartment. Patrick is an obnoxious, wealthy f-boy from a powerful political family. This predicament creates unforeseen complications for their night as the friends still need to get to the biggest gig of their lives, but also need to figure out what to do with Patrick's unconscious body. Things go from bad to worse after the crew ditches the body outside a hospital. Patrick wakes up confused, enraged, and desperate for answers about what conspired.
