Lydia Idakula Sobogun is a prominent Nigerian event organizer, TV/film and stage producer, and cultural entrepreneur. Trained as a lawyer at the University of Jos and the Nigeria Law School, she turned her passion for the arts into Gbagyichild Entertainment—founding the acclaimed Taruwa platform in 2007 Taruwa has evolved into a vibrant ecosystem featuring a magazine, digital platform, and the annual Taruwa Festival of Performing Arts, nurturing talents like M.I. Abaga, Omawumi, and her brother Bez Idakula In 2019, the Ladima Foundation appointed her as Project Manager for its inaugural Nigeria Film Academy, underlining her leadership in fostering women in African film Lydia also serves as Series Producer on the MNET drama Halita and continues to shape Nigeria’s cultural landscape with impactful events and programs
