Mandla “Mandla N” Ngcongwane (born April 9, in Pimville, Soweto, South Africa) is a versatile actor, director, producer, musician, and creative entrepreneur. He began his career in entertainment as the star of City Ses’la and its spinoff Ses’Top La, playing "Themba Khumalo." After graduating from AFDA (BA in Directing, 2001, Best Screen Actor), he co-founded Black Brain Pictures in 2004 and went on to create a string of acclaimed shows, including award-winning dramas Lockdown (director/creator) and DiepCity, as well as comedies like Culture Shock, Abo Mzala, and The B-Ball Show. He’s earned multiple SAFTA awards, notably Best TV Drama for Lockdown and Best Director for DiepCity, praised for authentic storytelling and bold music direction.
