Michael Waldron is an American screenwriter and producer who has become one of the primary narrative architects of the Marvel Cinematic Universe's "Multiverse Saga." After cutting his teeth as a producer on Rick and Morty, he skyrocketed to prominence as the creator and head writer of the Disney+ hit "Loki", which introduced the concept of the multiverse to the franchise. In 2026, Waldron is a central figure in the year's biggest blockbuster event. He is credited as a screenwriter for "Avengers: Doomsday" (releasing December 18, 2026). Originally tapped to write the film when it was titled The Kang Dynasty, Waldron remained a key creative force as the project evolved into Doomsday, sharing screenplay credit with returning scribe Stephen McFeely. His work on the multiverse mechanics in Loki and Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness serves as the foundation for this film and its 2027 sequel, "Avengers: Secret Wars", for which he was also the initial writer. Beyond superheroes, Waldron is currently serving as creator and executive producer for the comedy series "Chad Powers" (2025–Present). The show, which follows a disgraced college quarterback who disguises himself to walk on to a struggling team, showcases Waldron's return to his comedic roots. He also runs his own production company, Anomaly Pictures, which he launched in 2023 to develop original film and television projects outside of the Marvel machinery.
