Biography

Laura Monyeazo Abebe, professionally known as Moet Abebe, was born on July 29, 1989, in the United Kingdom. She spent her early years in Lagos, Nigeria, attending Corona Ikoyi Primary School and Dowen College. She later moved to the UK, where she completed her secondary education at Woldingham School and St. Teresa's Secondary School in Surrey. Moet pursued a Law degree at the University of Manchester. Her passion for the media industry led her to return to Nigeria, where she auditioned for Soundcity TV and became a prominent TV presenter and producer. She hosted shows like One On One, Body & Soul, and Global Countdown. In 2016, she transitioned to radio, hosting The Takeover on Soundcity Radio 98.5 FM. In 2023, Moet announced her departure from Soundcity and ventured into entrepreneurship by launching LM Occasions, an event management and catering company, with her mother. ​ Moet has also made her mark in Nollywood, featuring in films such as Red Card, Break of Dawn, and Oma's Truth. Beyond her media career, she is known for her candid discussions on personal experiences, including her upbringing by a single mother and her advocacy against bullying.
