Monique Champagne is an Academy Award-nominated set decorator with a career spanning over two decades. She began her journey in the film industry at age 15, moving to Los Angeles to pursue work in production before finding her true calling in the decoration department in 2004. Champagne is known for her work on a wide range of budgets, often specializing in the "Tier 1-2" range where she oversees 4 to 8 weeks of intensive preparation. Her career reached new heights in the mid-2020s through her collaboration with production designer Hannah Beachler. Together, they crafted the haunting, period-accurate world of the 1930s Mississippi Delta for Ryan Coogler's Sinners (2025). Her work on the film, specifically the "supernatural twist" on historical Southern architecture—has been hailed as a character in its own right.
