Biography
Morris Mugisha is a Ugandan actor, director, photographer, and model, renowned for his contributions to African cinema. Born in Kigezi, Uganda, he graduated from Makerere University with degrees in Literature, Communication, and Performing Arts. After representing Uganda in Big Brother Africa 2008, he founded MOIDEAS, a creative agency. His directorial debut, Stain (2020), won five awards at the Uganda Film Festival and received seven nominations at the Africa Movie Academy Awards. His 2022 film, Tembele, became Uganda's first submission to the Academy Awards for Best International Feature. Mugisha continues to shape Ugandan storytelling through film and visual media.
