Muhammad Atta Ahmed is a Nigerian cinematographer, filmmaker, and director of production, with a foundation in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of Technology in Minna. He began his creative career in 2009 as a graphics designer and in 2012 became a consultant and director of photography at Ndani TV. Atta has since contributed to several high-profile Nollywood and pan-African productions—including Chief Daddy, The Set Up—while also playing key roles in commercials, music visuals, and campaigns. He rose to international prominence as the cinematographer for Beyoncé’s visual album Black Is King in 2020. With a robust filmography spanning features, shorts, television, and music videos, Atta merges creative vision with technical expertise to elevate visual storytelling across Africa’s entertainment landscape.
