Nancy Handabile is a versatile Zambian actress, journalist, and filmmaker known for her powerful presence on screen and her creative work behind the camera. She first gained continental recognition with a nomination for Best Supporting Actress at the 2014 Africa Magic Viewers’ Choice Awards for her role as Progress in Love Games. Beyond acting, she has created and directed projects that highlight her storytelling skills, including Tizibika, a mock reality series satirizing social media culture, and Masauso, a drama series for Zambezi Magic where she also played a leading role. Her career has also extended across borders, with a notable appearance in the Zimbabwean film Lord of Kush in 2019. In 2018, she was named among the top female filmmakers in the Southern African Development Community, using the platform to advocate for gender equality and more opportunities for women in the creative industry.
