Ngohide Ruby Ann GyangGyang, popularly known as Ruby Gyang, is a Nigerian singer and songwriter celebrated for her soulful voice and heartfelt lyrics. Born and raised in Jos, Plateau State, she grew up surrounded by music, first singing in church choirs and school events before stepping into leadership roles as a worship leader in her teens. Her early experiences shaped the passion and depth that define her sound today. Ruby began her career with the Loopy Music crew, where she worked alongside MI, Jesse Jagz, and Ice Prince, before the label merged with Chocolate City Music. She went on to release her debut project, This is Love (2016), which earned recognition for its rich mix of soul, R&B, and African rhythms. Some of her notable songs include “Kale Ni,” “Oya Dance,” “Crushing,” and “Har Abada,” where she collaborated with fellow Northern artists. Over the years, Ruby has worked with respected acts like Show Dem Camp, Bez, and Nneka. With her unique sound and expressive delivery, she continues to champion soul music in Nigeria’s diverse music scene.
