Biography
Ngozi Ezeonu is a veteran Nigerian actress renowned for her portrayal of matriarchal roles in Nollywood. Originally trained in journalism at the Nigerian Institute of Journalism, she transitioned to acting in 1993. Her breakout role as Nkechi in Nneka the Pretty Serpent (1994) catapulted her into the spotlight. With over 200 films to her credit, Ezeonu has earned accolades such as the 2012 Africa Movie Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress for her role in Adesuwa. In 2023, she was honoured as the Sun Nollywood Icon of the Year. She is also a philanthropist and entrepreneur
