Biography
Nnamdi Agbo is a Nigerian actor and filmmaker renowned for his compelling performances in both film and television. Born in Enugu State, Nigeria, he pursued a degree in Theatre and Film at the University of Nigeria, Nsukka. His passion for storytelling led him to make his acting debut in 2016 with the short film Okega. In 2017, his talent was recognized when he received a scholarship to attend CinéFabrique film school in Lyon, France, awarded by the Africa International Film Festival (AFRIFF) after being named the best acting student. Agbo's breakthrough role came in 2024 when he portrayed Skipper in the Netflix Original film Hijack '93. The film, based on the real-life 1993 Nigerian Airways hijacking, showcased his ability to delve into complex characters and brought him international acclaim. His performance was pivotal in the film's success, which climbed to No. 3 on Netflix's global chart and entered the top 10 in 61 countries. Beyond Hijack '93, Agbo has demonstrated versatility through roles in films like Ordinary Fellows, where he played CeeJay, and Badamasi: Portrait of a General, portraying Mohammed Babangida. His dedication to his craft and commitment to telling authentic African stories have solidified his place as one of Nollywood's rising stars.
