Biography

Patience Ujah is a "rising powerhouse" known for her ability to handle intense, emotionally demanding lead roles. She first gained widespread recognition as Sekyen in the 2019 drama series Halita, which proved she could lead a long-running production. Her transition to the big screen was marked by her starring role in Eagle Wings (2021), a historic collaboration between Nollywood and the Nigerian Air Force where she played the lead female role alongside Enyinna Nwigwe. In the 2025/2026 film season, Ujah has evolved into a "producer-director" status, launching her own digital platform, Patience Ujah TV. She has specialized in "faith-based and relationship dramas," producing and starring in high-tension projects that explore infertility, spiritual struggle, and survival. Her performance as Mima in the 2025 whodunnit Katangari Goes to Town further cemented her reputation for playing "resilient and deeply relatable" characters.
