Biography
Rufai Dalhatu Bawa, known professionally as RD Bawa, is a Nigerian filmmaker, writer, and content developer based in Kano. With a background in film and television production from NTA TV College and training under the British Council's Reel-Dialogues project, he has developed a diverse skill set that includes directing, screenwriting, voice-over artistry, and content development. Bawa has contributed to projects for organizations such as UNICEF, BBC Media Action, and Arewa24. He played a significant role in launching media outlets like Savannah Television Sokoto and Arewa24. His filmography includes works like Let It Be (2019) and Hope Floats. Bawa is also the founder of Gamji Filmworks, a production company committed to storytelling that reflects Nigerian culture and experiences. His dedication to the craft has earned him recognition, including the Commonwealth Vision Award and the NTA TV College Award of Excellence.
