Biography

Samuel Abiola Robinson is a Nigerian actor who has achieved unique cross-continental success, becoming the first African actor to play a leading role in major Indian cinema productions. He began his career in Nigeria as a teenager, starring in productions like Desperate Housewives Africa and Green White Green. He gained international fame with the critically acclaimed Malayalam film "Sudani from Nigeria" (2018), where he played the title character. The film was a commercial success and earned him a dedicated fanbase in Kerala, India. He has since continued to work in both African and Indian film industries (including Tamil and Hindi cinema). Most recently, he starred as the lead in the dark satire "Dilli Dark" (2025) and appeared in the Tamil crime drama "Sorgavaasal" (2024). He is multilingual, speaking English, Yoruba, Nigerian Pidgin, and some Malayalam and Hindi.
